Since 1990, Lions around the world have donated more than US$350 million to help provide vision for all. The Greendale Lions make contributions regularly to LCIF, the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Leader Dogs, and various institutions for the blind and deaf.
Other projects over the years included participation with Lenscrafters in free vision screenings and conducting outings for the blind. In 1991, Lion Gordon VonGonten convinced the Lions International Foundation to provide a $60,000 grant for renovations to the local Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children.
We also sponsor Blind Outdoor Leisure Development (B.O.L.D.), which does outdoor activities for the blind, administered by the Lions.
We have various locations throughout Greendale where you can drop off your used eyeglasses for distribution to people in need of eyewear.
